During our unexpected stay at Metro Inns Newcastle, I appreciated the friendly staff and convenience of the Toby Carvery next door for meals. While the hotel is basic and shows wear, it provided a safe place to rest after a long day, and we enjoyed visiting nearby landmarks like the Discovery Museum and Town Moor. Despite some drawbacks, it served our needs as a budget stop.

The beds are very comfy. The location is amazing, adjacent to airport and price, good pub next door for drinks, and the restaurant next door, we enjoyed it. Guests have all their needs satisfied by the superfriendly staff.

Location: the hotel was not far from city centre, airport, and a Toby Carvery.

Nothing the place was full of drunken navvies and shop fitters ! It was like staying in a young offenders detention centre! I've experienced nothing like it !
I'd sooner stay on a park bench with the winos !

Stayed there before so knew what to expect. Improved by having all night receptionist.
Available warm drinks from machine so not very nice. Huge increase in rates for a Saturday night. Noise from other guests.

The hotel had everything we needed for our stay. We visited the nearby museum and enjoyed some local eateries. The staff were fantastic, especially the lady at the front desk who helped us with directions and let us freshen up after our race. Definitely a must for group travelers!
We did experience some issues with the cleanliness of communal areas, which could use some improvement .

It is not a hotel, but a base for the students who come to Newcastle to get drunk and disorderly. Well, there should be a place for such establishments, but they should not be called hotels. Extremely noisy. Unfriendly neighbours.

short distance into the town centre and cheapness (£9) in a taxi, friendly and helpful staff.
noise on an evening people moving between rooms and talking in the corridor, the toilet and shower facilities - these were like porta cabbin toilets and were unuseable in the morning due to people not cleaning up after themsselves.

Honestly, the whole experience was a disaster. The toilets were filthy, and the smell was unbearable. I couldn't even imagine using them! It felt more like a scene from a bad movie than a place to stay. Absolute nightmare!
